MLM Tip - Home Based Business That Work

Saturday 29 November 2008 @ 3:11 pm

by Bart Taylor
There are many fundamental keys to success. But this is a big one… Focus. Focus. Focus.

I focus on my goals. I keep my eye on the prize. I close my eyes and I can see myself standing smack dab in the middle of everything that I’m working for.

It’s simple and basic strategy, but it works. If you’re like most network marketers, then you’re doing it all…marketing, bookkeeping, planning, organizing. So focus can be difficult, but it is a fundamental strategy to your success.

Have you ever started on a project and within a few minutes found yourself wondering around on the internet aimlessly…on some unrelated topic from that which you set out to achieve? And now you’ve lost hours of valuable time. Yikes! Now, you still have to go back to the project you set out to research.

This scenario has happened to everyone. It’s definitely happened to me. The key here is to stay focused and keep your original goal in mind until you’ve completed your project.

Here’s one key that will help to avoid these nasty distractions. First, set up a filing system in your “Bookmarks.” Do this by creating a list of subfolders for each category of your work…administration, solo ads, pay-per-click, blogs, etc. Now, when I’m out on the great World Wide Web and I see something interesting…I’ll just save it to the appropriate folder and return to have a look when I’m researching that particular project.

Bottom line, your success is directly related to your ability to stay focused.Train yourself. Don’t venture off…finish one project then move to the next.
This is one simple way you can save HOURS on any given day. You’ve got to stay focused. You’ll definitely get more accomplished that way and you’ll cut the time to achieve your goals in half.
On a larger scale, here are the things that you should be doing in order to stay focused…

Minimize All Distractions and Interruptions - Good copyrighting and great looking banners are one small piece of many things that can distract us during the day. Limit all distractions including bad relationships, bad office environments and people that are upset with you…and people you’re upset with alike.

Create “Clean” Focus - schedule blocks of uninterrupted time of at least two hours for each specific project. Then take a clean break. Step away from everything for a few minutes before you start your next project.
Have a Routine - Start a schedule to do the things that are important to you at the same time every day.

80/20 Rule - As you’re creating focus, track your results. On average, 80 percent of the things we do on a daily basis really aren’t productive. Make sure you’re always working on the top 20 percent that’s producing results.
The bottom line is that we all need to focus to be productive. Make sure this one word always stays in the forefront of your mind. All the distractions will then easily rid themselves.

The Internal Importance Allocator of Effective Time Management

Friday 28 November 2008 @ 2:11 am

by Clint Cora
A regular excuse that a lot of people have for not being able to achieve their goals is that they ran out of time. They claim that they are too busy with all the other usual demands of life. They have to work all day and then do all sorts of chores at home. Kids and houses take up all the available time left over in the day. There’s no time to pursue all the things that they would really want to do in life. Life is already so overwhelming so who’s got time to go after life goals? If this is the case for you, then I hear you loud and clear as I can appreciate all the stresses that life in general have on us. A lot of us are constantly bogged down each day of the week. Good time management has there become a crucial thing to manage our days successfully given these hectic periods.

However, there’s something we all have inside ourselves that I call our ‘Internal Importance Allocator’. We assign importance ratings to everything in life and allocate time to them. For example, we all brush our teeth because we all rate dental health as pretty important, right? We don’t want to gross out everyone else with bad breath. However, many of us don’t do other things that are equally important for our health, like exercising. So this means that our Internal Importance Allocator may not always be working right.

So every now and then, we have to recalibrate our Internal Importance Allocators to reassign importance ratings to everything we do. I believe that this is a necessary task in effective time management. After all, there’s no way that watching TV should be rated as more important than our health. What’s more important than our health? Think about some of the things you have been neglecting and list them along with the activities that you normally do on a day-to-day basis. You will then have a list of things that you should be doing as well as your habitual activities that you do on a daily basis. Then reassign important ratings to everything at the same time. You will end up with a better balance of priorities in your life.

If you then look at a revised list of what’s really important in your life and make real committed decisions to work on them, rather than just wishes, you would make the time for those goals. You will make a mental ‘kick yourself in the behind’ to reallocate your time in a more effective way that is constructive to success. Of course, this doesn’t mean that you should be a workaholic. Being a ‘life champion’ (a term that is used in my book, The Life Champion In You) is also about balance since all areas of your life are considered. Effective time management should take this into account.

Remember, your goals should not be on a wish list. Instead, they should be on a top priority to-do list and mine is in my micro tool (a planning tool that is described in The Life Champion In You). Recalibrate your Internal Importance Allocator as often as required in order for you to stay in tune with what’s really important in life. The take home message here is that if something is truly important in your life, you will make the time for it.

Dan Kennedy Teaches Time Blocking For Total Productivity

Wednesday 26 November 2008 @ 3:11 pm

by Quang Van
I’m currently reading Dan Kennedy’s time management book No B.S. Time Management for Entrepreneurs.

He talks about Time Blocks in one of the chapters. Time blocking is basically scheduling your day to day activities in blocks of time.

The philosophy being, the more time you have scheduled the more you will get done, because you would have less idle time.

It’s sort of like keeping appointments with yourself, he says. Most people keep appointments with other people, but not when it comes to themselves.

He says that time blocking is the secret of most peak productive performers.

Dan Kennedy recommends people block times in 30 minutes intervals. 30 minutes seems to be a magic number.

30 minutes is essential to “The Now Habit” by Neil Fiore. “The Now Habit” is about rewarding yourself for 30 minutes of work. However it states you should plan fun activities, and work whenever you feel like it for 30 minutes at a time.

The key to time blocking is focused. To have a highly productive “power sessions” you cannot be distracted in these power sessions.

Some tips on having a productive 30 minutes.

- Work on one thing at a time. This way you can focus for 30 minutes without getting distracted.
- Get and use a timer. To keep track of your 30 minutes. A simple kitchen timer would do.
- Turn off your phone. Do not answer the phone during your power sessions. Nothing is important enough that it can’t wait 30 minutes.
- Let your employees know of your 30 minutes of focused work. So they can’t distract you.
- Do not check email. Whatever you do, do not check email during your 30 minutes of focused work. In fact you should only be checking email twice a day. 3 tops.
- Reward yourself. After 30 or 45 minutes of intense work, reward yourself. Take a 15 minutes break.

You would be surprised at how much you can do in 30 minutes of focused work.

The funny part is, when you commit to working for only 30 minutes on that task that you don’t like doing. Often times you get into a zone, and don’t stop working for an hour or and hour and a half.

Power of Audios

Productivity and time
Dan Kennedy
Using your call as a classroom

I’m reading a book by Dan Kennedy right now called “No B.S. Time Management For Entrepreneurs The Ultimate No Holds Barred, Kick Butt, Take No Prisoners Guide To Time Productivity & Sanity”

The title is really long, but the book is quite good. It takes you into the world of Dan Kennedy, master marketer and teachers of Millionaires.

One of the things Dan Kennedy talks about was using ‘non-productive’ time, productively. He suggests you use time search as waiting in traffic, going on car rides, stuck in line etc. as learning time.

This of course means listening to Audio CD’s or Mp3’s with an Ipod or MP3 Player.

He goes on to say that the top masters and successful people he encountered all have been a student of Audio learning programs.

I myself highly recommend Audio learning programs. I remember back in the day when I was still commuting to work, I would have Anthony Robbins with me on those car rides.

I must of listened to Anthony Robbins audio programs, including, “Lessons in Mastery”, “Live With Passion”, “Get The Edge” and “Personal Power II” over and over again.

When I worked the night shift at a plastics factory, for 8 hour shifts, I had Anthony Robbins in my ear the whole time.

I could go through one of those audio series in one night.

If you commute to work, you’d be surprised how quickly you can get through these 6-7 CD sets. In one week, or two, you could finish an Audio Program.

Imagine reading 1 book a week, or in 2 weeks about a subject you want to learn more about. Without taking up any extra time or with barely any effort.

If you simply use your commute time for learning, you will be in great shape. What is a skill you want to learn?

You want to learn a new language? Want to fix your personal finance? Want to improve your business?

Repetition is the master of skill. You can listen to the same CD’s over and over again until the lessons are ingrained in you.

Simply switching what you are listening to while you are commuting, in your car or in your spare time and you could change your life.

How Time Tracking Software Can Improve of Your Business

Sunday 23 November 2008 @ 11:11 am

by Kell
The global credit crises mean that businesses are looking for ways to streamline their business and become more effective. Time tracking software may be one avenue for this.

Time tracking software is a great way for employees and managers to track their work time. This can make it easier to track vacation and sick leave.

But perhaps more importantly, with the click of a button, you can know how much time employees and management are spending on different projects. Time management software can realign your employees’ time so they are spending their time on those projects that yield the greatest returns for the company.

Because it is easier to track and monitor the time spent on different tasks it also makes it easier for managers and employees to schedule their time on projects, and estimate how long different projects will take.

For example, you can integrate the time tracking software into project management systems. This allows your business to determine how much time is being spent on different tasks and whether you are on-time for those big projects.

Some time tracking software can also be integrated into the payroll and finance departments, so that you can streamline that part of your business. In addition, if you are a lawyer, contractor or some other professional, time tracking software means that you can bill clients with ease.

The best time tracking software should be easy to use and flexible to the demands of your business. You should be able to create the reports needed for your business and also customize these reports in a way that is relevant for each project or customer.

The right time tracking software allows you to have your finger on the pulse of the business. You can identify areas of concern for your business and quickly identify solutions to fix potential problems. At the same time you can streamline your business by linking your time tracking software to project planning and accounting departments of your business.

So you are streamlining your business and reducing your costs, yet at the same time you can also identify which employees are effective and train those employees who may need some help. With the click of a button, you can identify whether adequate time is being spent on your most important projects, and solutions to ensure that your business is running effectively.

Time tracking software is a tool that allows you to respond quickly to your business needs.

How to Use Time Tracking Software to Improve Your Employee Time Management

Sunday 23 November 2008 @ 10:11 am

by Kell
If time is money, then wasting time could be an expensive exercise for you or your business. Time tracking software can help you to use your time more effectively.

Businesses have been using time management software for many years. Likewise, professionals such as lawyers, accountants and other consultants use time tracking software to work out their billable hours.

However, time management software can do so much more than work out your billable hours.

The right time management software can show you how much time you are spending on your projects, which allows you easily estimate the time needed for other projects - this improves your scheduling and reduces your down time.

Time management software allows you to put your finger on the pulse of your business. With the click of a button you can determine the hours that are spent on different projects and tasks and whether this time could be used more effectively on more important projects.

Likewise, time management software can help you to identify which employees are productive or which employees need help with time management.

Time management software allows you to identify potential problems and where you and your company can use their time more effectively. At the same time, time management software can streamline your business.

For example, your time management software program can be linked into the company accounts so that with the click of a button you are able to track and/or submit the hours spent on the job. From this information invoices can be generated and payments made.

There are a number of different time management software options available for you. For example, you can use a web-based time management software program, which is useful if you are off-site a lot or need to coordinate across different locations.

Alternatively, software programs can run on your handhelds, which can run off your mobile device or be synchronized with your computer.

When thinking about what is the right time management software system for you, it is important to to consider the reporting tools, and whether you can customize the reports across customers or projects.

Likewise it is important to consider what options there are to export the data. For example you may want to export your time-data to an Excel program for more detailed modeling and analysis.

Another thing to consider for your time management software is what support there is for multiple users across different locations, and whether you can enter expenses related to different projects and clients and whether the software supports handhelds.

The Benefits of Appointment Scheduling Software

Sunday 23 November 2008 @ 8:11 am

by Kell
Appointment scheduling software can allow your business to service clients long after your last employee has gone home. Scheduling software has the potential to increase your customer’s satisfaction and free up some of your frontline staff for other important business.

The other week I had a dreadful toothache that had me tossing and turning all night. Rather than wait until 9am opening time, I was able to get on the Internet and make an appointment with my dentist before the doors had opened for business.

This got me thinking about the benefits of appointment scheduling software. By allowing me to make an appointment at my own convenience the business was meeting my needs. Rather than being put on hold by a busy receptionist, with the click of a button I was able to make my appointment.

By meeting my needs as a customer they greatly increased my satisfaction and overall desire to attend my second appointment (even if it was a dentist).

But then I got to thinking about the business side of things. The appointment scheduling software allowed the business to free up their staff for other important tasks.

Rather than having the staff managing the constant phone calls that come with arranging and coordinating appointments, staff were able to give a more personalized approach to customers and had time to help out elsewhere.

Also, many appointment scheduling systems can track payments and send reminders to clients. This means that the staff doesn’t have to chase clients which further frees up business resources for other priorities. Again another win-win situation!

By getting a web-based appointment scheduling system the client can make an appointment when they want to, and your business can take appointments long after the last employee has gone home.

As you have probably guessed this type of scheduling software extends well beyond dental and medical practices, to any service orientated business that makes appointments with clients.

The right appointment scheduling software program can streamline your business. Given the dire global crises, streamlining your business and reducing your costs, while keeping your appointment book open long after the last employee has gone home will help to reduce your costs and increase your revenues.

There are many appointment scheduling software programs on the market, so it is important that you get one that is easy to learn and flexible enough to suit the demands of your business. You should be able to customize the appointment scheduling software and create reports that are essential to your business.

3 Anti Intuitive Techniques to Save Your Relationship

Saturday 22 November 2008 @ 3:11 am

by J Preston
It is not easy to save a relationship. You’re hurt, heartbroken, lost and don’t know what to do. Every one of your friends has a different idea about what you can do to get back together. But no matter what you read or hear, there is always the fear that one wrong move will cause you to lose the person you love forever.

Is this you?

-Every song on the radio makes you cry
-Loss of appetite
-Binge eating comfort food
-Calling them several times a day
-Texting and emailing constantly
-Constantly checking email and voice mail to see if they called
-Staying home so you don’t miss a call
-Obsessing about why they REALLY left you
-Feeling depressed
-Wanting to spy on them
-Endlessly rehearsing what you should have said
-Endlessly rehearsing what you will say if you bump into them

This is where it gets tough… Often times, the thing that feels “most right” is just the opposite: The most WRONG thing to do.

If you’re dying to call, step away from the phone.

If you feel like pouring your heart out, stay quiet.

This may seem completely wrong. BUT, they have been proven over and over to actually help revive even a seemingly hopeless relationship.

FIRST You MUST accept that the two of you have broken up. I’ve been there and I know this can be very difficult to do. Trust me, you will likely have a bit of an internal battle before you’re able to do this because you fear accepting the break up makes it permanent. This is not true!

The primary reason you must accept the breakup is to give your ex time and a little space to miss you. They may even be mad or upset with you at this very moment… especially if you’ve been pressuring them to get back together.

NEXT: Cut off all communication. And I mean ALL communication.

I know you’re thinking I’ve lost my mind right now, but hold on because this technique really does work. It not only helps you accept the breakup but also shows your ex you are completely OK with the break up.

Now they can become curious or interested just to know what’s going on. They also have time to get over their reason for breaking up with you.

This space can also be very invigorating when it comes to your own mental health. Not only will it help you think clearly, but cutting off ALL communication also sets you up for the next step.

Finally, plan a meaningul event where you can reconnect with your ex. This may center around something that brings back memories OR it may be something the two of you always wanted to do.

The point is, get together and then over time you may actually fall in love again and live happily ever after!

The good news is, there are resources out there to help you discover all the counterintuitive and unconventional steps to take in order to get your ex back at http://www.ReconnectedHearts.com

Warcraft Riches is a popular WoW gold making guide. Don’t let that fool you though; the author, Derek, has been playing World of Warcraft from the beginning and claims to have been one of the games first millionaire. Moreover, he has the proof.

After viewing several other gold making guides, Derek discovered that there really wasn’t anything out there but basic AH, daily quest, and grinding tips. That’s when he decided to put together Warcraft Riches. This comprehensive gold guide includes a 1-60 gold guide for Azeroth, and a 70-80 gold guide for the Outlands. There is even a detailed guide on how to dominate the Auction House, with strategies that go deeper than any other guide that I’ve seen. He even throws in gold grinding guide for those that enjoy that sort of play, and one for Daily Quests.

Warcraft Riches is written in an easy to understand, step-by-step format, with explicit instructions for everything. There are no typical “do this” and “do that” that leave you trying to figure things out for yourself. He walks you through the entire process of exact gold making methods that he uses.
